CMMC Readiness & Evidence Management

CMMC readiness consulting and implementation support.

Altiri helps defense suppliers understand their readiness gaps, organize remediation, and prepare the documentation and evidence that support their cybersecurity practices. We work with your leadership, internal IT team, and service providers to establish responsibilities, manage the preparation effort, and maintain readiness as systems and operations change.

Cost-conscious preparation

A methodology designed to lower preparation and implementation costs.

Altiri’s approach is designed to reduce duplicate effort and avoid unnecessary work while addressing applicable requirements. The preparation plan connects scope, existing capabilities, remediation, and evidence so each investment supports the program.

  1. 01
    Establish scope early

Confirm the environment and requirements before committing resources to remediation.

  2. 02
    Build on existing capabilities

Identify usable controls, documentation, and provider services before recommending additional work.

  3. 03
    Coordinate implementation and evidence

Sequence changes around dependencies and capture supporting evidence as work is completed to reduce rework.

Scope & deliverables

Preparation with clear
owners and outputs.

Agree on the scope before assigning work. Readiness support and formal certification assessment are distinct activities.

01

Scope and gap review

Review the defined environment, relevant requirements, and available evidence with your team.

Typical outputsScope record, documented gaps, and a prioritized work plan.
02

Remediation coordination

Assign actions and coordinate technical changes with the people responsible for implementation.

Typical outputsRemediation tracker, owners, dependencies, and progress reviews.
03

Documentation and evidence

Organize implementation descriptions, policy material, and evidence references into a maintainable record.

Typical outputsDocumentation plan, evidence index, and review responsibilities.
04

Readiness follow-through

Walk through the record, identify missing or outdated material, and prepare teams to explain their practices.

Typical outputsOpen-item list, evidence reviews, and preparation sessions.

Evidence management

Know what a record supports
and when it was reviewed.

A useful evidence record explains the requirement, the practice, the responsible person, and where supporting material can be found. It also makes missing material visible.

  1. 01
    Connect the requirement to practice

Record how the organization implements the requirement and who owns the activity.

  2. 02
    Link supporting evidence

Use meaningful descriptions, locations, dates, and review responsibilities.

  3. 03
Maintain the record as work changes

Update evidence and implementation descriptions as systems and practices evolve.

Common questions

Does Altiri provide CMMC certification assessments?

This service provides readiness consulting and implementation support. Formal certification assessments are outside this offering.

Can you work alongside our IT provider?

Yes. We can coordinate readiness work while your provider implements the technical changes assigned to it.

Does a documentation system replace control implementation?

No. Documentation and evidence support an implemented practice. The scope distinguishes maintaining records from implementing technical and operational controls.
